Bear Head Lake State Park

 

A 5,700 acre paradise located in the Northwoods south of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, is home to black bears, moose, wolves, and eagles. You can swim at the park’s beach, go fishing or take a hike in the woods on 14 miles of trails. During the winter there are nine miles of trails for snowshoeing and 5 miles of trails for snowmobiling. You can canoe, Kayak or rent a boat on Bear Head Lake. This state park has 73 campsites of which 45 have electric power.

Voyageurs National Park is the only national park in Minnesota. The park is located in Northern Minnesota along a pristine shoreline. All campsites are only available by watercraft, so this is the place for water sports!
