Rednecks with Paychecks

Rednecks with Paychecks is a major off-roading festival that takes place twice a year in Saint Jo, Texas near DFW. For four days, thousands of mud fans bring their trucks, ATVs, and all sorts of other vehicles to enjoy concerts, vendors, camping, and – most of all – the opportunity to drive through over 1,000 acres of mud. The next event is scheduled during Spring Break, March 17 – 20, 2022. Check it out!

Mud Racing

For mud racing fans, Rednecks with Paychecks (RWP) is the perfect opportunity to watch the pros. You’ll be able to watch professional trucks race in deep mud drag tracks and flat mud puts. The event hosts big racing series such as the Arklatex Pro Mud Racing Series, and the races are always a big draw for the crowds in attendance.

Free-For-All Tracks

Rednecks with Paychecks

In addition to watching the pros drive, RWP lets you get into the mud yourself. There are seven different mud pits, plus creek runs, side-by-side tracks, canyons, hill climbs, off-road trails, and rock courses, all spread out over 1,200 acres. You can hit these trails in trucks and all kinds of 4 wheelers. Many participants find it just as fun to watch as to drive, and a big part of RWP is hanging out, watching the fun, and cheering on all the trucks.

Camping and Camper Rental

Camping is a big part of the Rednecks with Paychecks experience. Participants who buy camping tickets can bring their campers and RVs onto the RWP grounds ahead of time to claim a campsite. During the four-day event, whenever people aren’t watching the races or in the mud pits themselves, they’ll likely be hanging out around the campsites. There are also cold showers for everyone to rinse off all the mud – because you absolutely will get muddy by the end of the day. Rent a camper from a Go RV Rentals participating RV owner. If you’d rather not camp, you can still buy tickets either for the weekend or for the entire four days.

Music

Concerts are included in the event passes and RWP has brought in some popular acts over the years. Past artists include Reckless Kelly, JB & the Moonshine Band, Stony LaRue, Turnpike Troubadours, and Whiskey Myers. For Fall 2016, RWP will be hosting Hip Hop Hooray, Randy Brown, Joey Green, Poo Live Crew, and Back N Black (an AC/DC tribute band). The concerts take place on a two-story stage, where guests with VIP tickets can watch from the second story. Everyone else can drive their 4-wheelers right up to the stage area for a redneck tailgate experience.

Camping

Vendors

Vendors in the RWP grounds keep everyone fed, hydrated, and entertained over the 4-day experience. There’s a lot of great, local food, and a number of vendors support local charities. You can also buy RWP merchandise and off-road accessories, in case you forgot something at home. The vendor areas are a good place to check out when you’re hungry from all that time racing around, or when you just need a little break from the mud.
