Dinosaur Valley State Park: A Nice Place to Take Your Motorhome Rental
Are your kids (or you) a dinosaur fan? If so, you’ll love Dinosaur Valley state park. Long ago, giant creatures roamed these hills and left their calling cards in the form of massive foot prints. You’ll feel like you’ve entered the land before time when you see, and actually touch the prehistoric tracks left in the bed of the Paluxy River.

In addition to tracking dinosaurs, visitors can camp, picnic, swim and fish in the river. Hikers and bikers will find over twenty miles of well groomed trails to explore, and horseback enthusiasts will soon discover why this area is famous for its wildlife. A fun side trip while visiting Dinosaur Valley is nearby Dinosaur World where 150 life-like dinosaurs reside. After a busy day build a campfire and have a great night’s sleep in your camper rental.
While a visit to Dinosaur Valley may have you feeling like a time traveler, actual travel time from Fort Worth is only 60 minutes. Dinosaur Valley State park is easily accessible, and makes for a fun weekend getaway.Â

Get in touch with nature at Ray Roberts Lake in your camper rental. There are so many things to do at this beautiful state park with its two locations/units, you’ll have a hard time fitting them all in. If you’re a land lubber, you can hike, bike, and ride your horse, rollerblade or geocache. Aqua nuts will want to splash and swim at one of the many beach front areas. Fishermen can dust off their gear for a trip to the kids fishing hole, or the lake. Remember, you can fish from the shore or a pier in a state park without a fishing license. If you’ve simply come to relax – bring your camera on a nature walk, or sit in the shade and soak up the peace and quiet of this tranquil location.

Possum Kingdom State Park: Rent an RV and Go Camping
Come and enjoy the clear blue water of Possum Kingdom State Park. With over 300 miles of shoreline, this is a popular destination for RV campers and outdoor water sport enthusiasts. Located on the Brazos River, visitors to Possum Kingdom can Jet Ski, water-ski, wakeboard, or splash around on an inner tube. Other fun activities include snorkeling or scuba diving, or you can enjoy the scenery from the helm of a canoe or rowboat. Equipment rentals are available.
For those who’d rather keep their feet dry, there are plenty of hiking and biking trails, picnic areas and nature walks. Also, be sure to bring your binoculars or camera and catch a glimpse of the abundant wildlife. The park offers a variety of ranger programs, educational activities, and park tours, and there are many premium cabins and campsites available, some with water and electricity hookups.
Known for having the bluest water in Texas, Possum Kingdom is the perfect place for an outdoor adventure.Â

Watching the sun go down at Cooper Lake State Park is an experience you’ll never forget. Whether you’re a city dweller who’s tired of the smog and traffic jams, or just a lover of the great outdoors, this is the place for you take your RV rental. Come and relax in this oasis of natural beauty, which caters to birdwatchers and nature walkers. It’s also a great place for camping and swimming, boating and waterskiing. Anglers will enjoy the wide variety of fish in the lake.
The Sulphur lake area offers equestrian camping and includes miles of horseback trails. A favorite is the ten-mile Buggy Whip Equestrian trail, where riders experience shady forests and panoramic views of the lake. The Buggy Whip camping area includes 10′ X 55′ concrete pads, back-in spaces with water and electricity, picnic tables, a fire-ring, a lantern post and a 20-foot tether cable for the horses. (BYOH – Rental horses not available).
Other accommodations include quaint cabins complete with AC, and breathtaking views. Traditional campsites offered as well.
